Our Main Pool

Our main pool is 25m x 10m - Five lane deck level swimming pool.
Separate childrens pool 12m x 6m.

A.S.A Swimming Programme

Westport Leisure Park has adopted the Amateur Swimming Association programme for our swimming lessons. The A.S.A. programme is internationally recognised and is run to a very strict criteria where assessment is a critical aspect of the programme and forms the basis for progression from one level to another. Progression is based upon achievement rather than parental demands or organisational convenience. Our very experienced and qualified team of instructors are renowned for the quality of their lesson. Lessons are available for adults and children and all levels of ability are catered for.

Westport Swimming Club

Westport Leisure Park is the home to the very sucessful Westport Swimming Club. It is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in Irish swimming circles. The club trains several times each week at the Leisure Park.

Ducklings

Ducklings is a class specially tailored for children aged 4 to 5 years -it's an excellent way of building confidence in the water with younger children.

Swimming Lessons for Schools

A very extensive programme of lessons is available for schools both primary
and second level.

Lane Swimming

25m lanes are available at various times during the day and most evenings. See the Pool Timetable

Special Needs

Westport Leisure Park welcomes individuals and groups with special needs. Groups from Western Care, Downs Syndrome Ireland, Mayo MS Society, Special Olympics, etc. are regular users of the facilities.

Water Safety

Since opening to the public Westport Leisure Park has always promoted WATER SAFETY. Every Monday evening from 6.00 p.m. the centre hosts it’s season of Water Safety, Lifesaving and Rescue.
This programme is run in association with Irish Water Safety.
